Christmas is a truly magical time for children - it’s a time of Santa Claus, flying reindeer and building snowmen. But sadly, while most of us enjoy the festivities and spending time with our family, thousands of vulnerable children across the UK are struggling. And the effects of the Covid-19 crisis are making that struggle worse for children and their families. Abuse, poverty, bereavement, mental health issues and loneliness are on the rise in the wake of the pandemic, depriving children of the chance to enjoy this very special time of year.
By supporting Kidsmas, you can make a life-changing difference to a vulnerable child – giving them the expert support, kindness and care they need to have a happier Christmas, and a brighter future.
Hello my names Jessemina and for a school project to raise money this term, I have chosen Barnardos Kidmas, as this supports children around the UK to give a Christmas and a chance of a better future
In this time of COVID and uncertainty I wanted to spread some Christmas joy to take our minds off all the bad things going on in the world and to remind others that there is still hope and that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
I had designed a snowman hunt to be done around Bosham meadow. In this scavenger hunt there were different points in which snowmen were to be hidden. The snowmen were made of recycled milk bottles.
I have sadly due to restrictions in place decided that this may not be the best idea to continue.
I have instead designed a snowman activity sheet that I hope others might enjoy. All I ask is that you may help with a few pennies donation towards helping me build a snowman for a worthy cause.
By coming together and donating you’re making a child’s life happier and brighter:
£10 could go towards the cost of a Kidsmas meal, so that the day feels special for every child.
£25 could help transport a child to a Kidsmas event, giving them the chance to relax and enjoy the festivities.
£50 could help get Christmas care parcels including food and presents for families who are shielding or self-isolating.
Please help me build my snowman!
